How to cool the city under heatwave conditions?
Continuing the successful observations from summer 2022, the SIRTA team (LMD-IPSL) was again a vital part of the PANAME’23 field campaign in Paris. Using lightweight radiosondes as well as mobile transect measurements (walking & cycling), we study the cooling potential of urban green spaces for both different atmospheric dynamics and park sizes (1ha, 15ha, 900ha).
