[LMD communicates] Explaining global warming differently: from research to popularization

How to better teach the causes of climate change, especially in high school?
This is the question that Valentin Maron and his collaborators, including Jean-Louis Dufresne, a researcher at LMD and greenhouse effect specialist, sought to answer.
Their work proposes an original didactic approach to help non-specialists understand the link between rising atmospheric CO₂ levels and global warming. This collaboration led to the publication of an article in the journal Recherches en didactique des sciences et des technologies (RDST):
📄 Maron, V., Dufresne, J.-L., Pélissier, L., Rabier, A., & Cochepin, M. (2024). Which Experiments and Representations Can Help Build the Link Between CO₂ and Global Warming for Non-Specialists? RDST, (30), 43-85. https://doi.org/10.4000/13q1d
This research was highlighted in a video by the popular science channel Le Réveilleur, which offers an accessible and illustrated explanation of this approach:
