Bringing together researchers from meteorology and energy laboratories, engineers and consultants from the photovoltaic industry, this group met from 9 to 12 April at the Technical University of Denmark on the Risø campus. An exceptional seminar was held with partners from the IEA’s Wind Technology Collaboration Programme on the challenges of forecasting solar and wind energy production at minute scale. Increasingly used by current energy systems, these forecasts represent new challenges for meteorological research.
